FTH Monthly Image

I don't know why I put these things off until JUST before the end but this card has been sitting on my desk, waiting for its day in the sun.

I'm using From The Heart's January image challenge (yikes, nearly missed this deadline!)  I love the monthly challenge and this little guy is just so stinkin' cute NOT to get used.  Faith has some great new images (I may NEED Heart Bandit soon).  This guy is called ... Little Snowman

I've used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It totally worked with this image.

SSW2: Fresh Brewed Designs

It's the last Wednesday of January.  How did THAT happen?!!

This week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 we are sponsored by Heather from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I love her coffee inspired images because as you can tell a good cup of Joe is one of the most important things in my life!

We are also having a "blast from the past" sketch ... yep, it's a whole lotta circles!  The sketch worked perfectly with my image.  I chose to use Heather's  Peace, Love and Coffee   not just because it features coffee (I can not Expresso how much I love lattes) but also because I had THE greatest DP to use with it.  You can't tell from my card, but the pink paper I used also has peace signs on it.  Bummer that it's covered up.

I thought that you might also like to see how I handled the sketch last time around:

We'd sure love to see you all drop in and play along this week.

SSW2-42: DigiStamp Boutique

We've got some fun brewing for you over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.  I know, it doesn't feel like it, but it IS Wednesday .... these weeks with a day-off on Monday get me all discombobulated.

Because it's the third week of the month, SSW2 has Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique as our sponsor.  I love her sweet images; they are so versatile and just plain cute.  This week I'm using her New Year Pup.

Sally-Ann is offering our winner a  £10 voucher to her store. Sweet!!

We hope to see you join in the fun.

TMS: Doodle Pantry

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches today.  I love Melissa's sketch challenge and usually find time to participate.

I've used the moose from the Little Critters set.  For a limited time, you can get this set absolutely free with your purchase.  Time runs out on this deal on January 26th.

In case you still haven't heard, there is a new digital challenge in town: Ants in My Pantry.  This month there are only two requirements: One- you must use a digital image (any company) that features milk: cows, yogurt, ice-cream, cheese or anything that YOU think relates to milk.   Your second requirement is to put buttons on your card.  That's it!  Easy-Peasy Pumpkin-Cheesy.

We really DO hope that you get your crafty on this week ... there are great prizes to be won.

SSW2-41: Sami Stamps

I know.

I'm still making Christmas cards.

I'll stop soon, I promise.  But I just had to use this DARLING image from Sami Stamps.  This week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, we're sponsored by Sami.  She has some fabulous images in her etsy shop, including this one: Chubby Frost.

Sally has a great sketch for us to use and we have a GREAT prize.  It's a $12 gift certificate to use in the Sami Stamps shop.  We really DO hope that you join in the fun!

DP: New January Releases!

I think that I am finally over the sadness of the Broncos losing to the Colts.  I really didn't think that our season would end that way but ... that's the way ball bounces.  There is talk that Manning won't return next year and hubby asked me what I thought.  I told Ken that HAD he gotten me the Manning jersey that I asked him to get me for Christmas, THEN Manning wouldn't return.  But, we should be good since I am STILL without a jersey!

But on to why we are here ... it's Tuesday and that means it's time for another new release over at the Doodle Pantry shop.  This little cutie is one of the sets released today.  It's called Safari Critters.  I used the included paper too.  There are great papers this release AND they are included with the purchase of the images.

One of the blogs sponsored by Doodle Pantry is Operation Write Home (OWH).  This site provides free handmade cards for deployed soldiers.  How nice for our soldiers to be able to write their loved ones AND have a beautiful card to send.  This month,  Laurie is adding the BATH ANTS set to the OWH fundraiser category.  That means that $1.00 from the sale of this set will go to OWH to help defray their operating expenses.  If you are looking for a way to support American soldiers, this is it.

Additionally, the LITTLE CRITTERS set  from today's release will be free with a purchase for a limited time only.  Hurry over to Doodle Pantry to claim your free set.  It's only available from January 13-26.

I used the sketch from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #250.  What a fun challenge it was.  I really enjoy her sketches.

SSMIS-Yoga Yolanda

It's another year of Secret Sister Monthly Image Challenge, can you believe it?  Imke is our hostess and challenged us with AI's Yoga Yolanda AND paper piecing.  My favorite thing about this image is the little ball socks that Yolanda is rocking.  I totally remember wearing those in High School!

I starting with the Die Cuttin Diva's sketch ... I say "started" because by the time I rotated the image and started adding a bit of this and a bit of that, it doesn't look like the sketch at ALL!  Oh well, it was a good jumping off point.

AI and Cute Card Thursday have the challenge of "What's New" on their blogs.  I plan to submit this card.  What's new is ... my resolution to exercise more often (and this paper, though shhhhh.  Don't tell the hubby).  I wanted my card to reflect my NEW exercise regime but as I type this, I gonna admit that TODAY was the first time that I went to the gym.  Ugh.  Not a good start!

Doodle Pantry: January Release

It's January and that means it's time for a new release over at Doodle Pantry.

This month brings some exciting new changes over on the Doodle Pantry Blog. We are replacing our monthly Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge with a brand spanking new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge! Get it ((snicker)) ants in my pant - ry?!!  Punny!!

We will have a theme each month.  This month our theme is Milk + buttons.  All you have to do is make a project that features something to do with milk: cows, cheese, yogurt.  Best part, you can use ANY stamp company to make your project.  Two winners will be chosen randomly.  For all the 'dets', check it out on the Doodle Pantry Blog

I'm using the newly released Moo Birdie.  How cute is he?!!!  I'm not gonna lie, I totally forgot that I needed to use buttons on my project - I was on 'holy cow, is that the time?' mode!   Sooo, I have brads filling in for buttons.  Just pretend that you can see buttons here.

I'm using the sketch from over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It's a cute one and fit this image perfectly.

SSW2-40: Bugaboo

Welcome back Wednesday friends.

BIG football weekend coming up!  I plan to spend it on the couch, eating pizza and trying not to bite my nails.

The only two games I care about are the Saturday night game with the Panthers and the Sea-Pidgeons (I mean Sea Hawks) and the Sunday afternoon game of the Colts v. the Broncos.  Normally I love the Colts but I gotta say that I am hoping that my Broncos beat them.

This week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 we have a big event too.  We have a new sketch and we're sponsored by Jodie from Bugaboo ... a great combination

Jodie is offering our winner 7 free digis.   I hope to see you join in the fun.
