SS: Well "Hi!" There

Good Morning Peeps.

It's Saturday and time for another Sketch over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  We have a fun new sketch and the return of a favorite sponsor: it's Jodie from Bugaboo Stamps.  Jodie always has amazing prizes and this week is no different.  She will give our winner a 9 (yep, that's right, NINE) free images from the Bugaboo shop.  Wow.

I'm using Jodie's cute image "Chibi Flowerpot Peeker" on my card.  Since this is the 5th Saturday of the month, YOU get to pick your favorite sketch to use (we'd love to know which one you used, so please mention it in your post)  I'm using #347.  If you'd like to see what I did with it the first time, click here.

Please check out the rest of the DT's creations and give them some love. I hope you join in the fun this week.

Catch The Bug: Still Snowing Here!

Spring WILL come to Colorado ... someday.  Meanwhile, it's still snowing here.  Nothing stuck yesterday but that will change tomorrow and Friday.  (Sigh) I am optimistic that eventually we will have shorts weather.  I should mention that my sons both have worn shorts already but if it's still in the 50s, my white legs do not see the light of day!!

I'm waiting for the carpet cleaner to soak in, some animal (probably the one who barks) burped vividly on my carpets 7 times.  If I can just get the hubby to stop giving her carrots, my life would be happier!  Soo in my spare time, I made two Christmas cards.  I'm using the sketch from the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.

These are Dilly Beans Stamps  snowmen.  She makes such cute snowmen!  I printed them last year but never used them.

SSW2-88: Digistamp Boutique

Welcome back to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2's bi-weekly challenge!  Our sponsor this fortnight is Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique.  I love her darling images.  This week Sally-Ann is offering the winner a £10 voucher to her store.

I used the set "Cosy Robin" to create my card. I used a white gel pen to make his scarf match the paper.  I know, shocker, I'm making more Christmas cards tho with the color scheme that I went with, it looks more Mickey Mouse geared rather than Christmas.   Oh well, I'm sure that someone will love it.

We hope that you stop by and join in the sketch fun this week.

Get Well, Friend

I'm wasting time.  I should be attaching a border to my quilt.  And while binge-watching some vapid show while I hand-sew on the border IS appealing, there are many other things I need to get done.  Soo, I'm avoiding it all and just coloring, cutting and pasting -- OK, I'm also waiting for the locksmith to arrive too but it sounds more wildly irresponsible to say I'm just coloring :-)

I'm sorta using the sketch over on the I Heart Sketches site.  I left off a block of color BUT I did use a die-cut so I'm still good to go.

I'm using stripes to satisfy the "Earn Your Stripes" theme over on Dragonfly Journeys, and Tuesday Throwdown has a theme of "Anything Goes" so I'm good there.

The dog is barking like crazy ... so I'd say that the locksmith has ARRIVED!

Hey Tweetie!

It's Sunday.

And time for another challenge from Doodle Pantry.   Today we're hosting the challenge over on the Cupcake Inspirations blog.  We were supposed to look at the photo and be inspired to create something fabulous from the photo.

Take a gander at the photo.  I gotta say, the first thing that I was "inspired" to create was cupcakes.  Do they not look AMAZING?!! That's the problem with these cupcake/cookie photos, I just want to eat whatever I see!

After I convinced myself that the LAST thing I needed was a cupcake, I noticed the colors: red, black, green and white.  Then I noticed all the ladybugs.  I'm not a big fan of bugs (OK, ladybugs are fine but blech ... spiders) So I made a card with something that eats bugs and used all the fabulous colors.  I'm using Birdie on a Wire, which is currently only $1.75 in the Doodle Pantry shop!

I really liked the sketch over on the Paper Play Sketches blog.  It was super cute and really worked with this image.

TMS348: Wasting Time

I came downstairs just to check my e-mail ...  and two hours have passed. Ugh!!

I colored up this little dude to give to my brother-in-law.  He had knee surgery (on the other leg) but I wanted to get a card out to him to let him know that we are thinking about him.

I used the sketch over on Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I rotated it to fit the image better.

DP: Ruff Day!!

Hi everyone!  Welcome back to another challenge.  Today Doodle Pantry is hosting the challenge over on the StampArt Paple's blog.  Their challenge is "Anything Goes"

I have a few family members going through "ruff" times so I immediately thought to use Mr. Spike.  How cute is he?!!  I love the expression on his face!

I really liked the sketch over on the Sunday Stamps blog.  It was super cute and really worked with this image.  And I also used the colors from the Two Paper Diva's color challenge.  I love orange and pink together.

I hope you join in the fun this week.

No Monkeying Around ... It's Snowing Here

Spending my snowy morning finishing up some cards.  We've got about 5 inches so far and it's still coming down.  I can hear the hubster plowing, no doubt trying to get a jump on the accumulation (They've predicted a total of 2 feet)  If I were a good wife, I'd head out to help.   Blah, I hate being outside when it's blowing so much.

This little monkey is the freebie image over on the Gerda Steiner site.  In exchange for using it, I will get the next month's image for free.  Yep, not gonna lie; I like free stuff!

I'm using the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketch site. It worked perfectly with my monkey.

Sketch Saturday 408: Robyn's Fetish

Morning sketch fans!

It's Saturday so that means it's time for a new sketch over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  We have a fun new sketch as well as a great prize from our sponsor...Robyn's Fetish.  She is offering our winner the prize of three digi-images from her shop.

This week's sketch is very angular!  I used Robyn's image: Home for the Holidays.  And as you can see, I'm getting my holiday on so that December isn't such a crazy month for me!  Yikes ... it's really not THAT long until Christmas 2016!

We hope that you will come join the fun this week.

DP: Humor Me

Hi everyone!  Welcome back to another challenge.  Today Doodle Pantry is hosting the challenge over on the Creative Knockout's blog.  Their challenge is "humor".

M first thought was Easy-Peasy Pumpkin Cheesy!  There are lots of cute and humorous images in the Doodle Pantry arsenal.  I used this opportunity to color the Float Yer' Goat image.  Not only do I love the balloons on this image but the expression on that silly goat makes me giggle every time!

I used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch.  OK, I made ONE small change to the sketch (two if you count the sentiment placement) but it sure was a fun sketch.  It allowed my goat with his shiny balloons to be the center of attention.  We DO hope that you join in the fun over on the Creative Knockout's blog.

SSW2-87 Snowman Fun

Happy Wednesday peeps.

Is it just me or are you still finding Easter grass in your house?  Two weeks after the Easter bunny made his appearance and I'm still vacuuming it up!  Good heavens, that stuff is staticky; it sticks to E-V-E-R-Y thing!!

But in better news, we have another sketch challenge over at the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.  This week we have Tammy from A Day For Daisies as our sponsor.

She has fantastic whimsical images that are super fun to use.  This week I chose to use Penguin Snowman on my card. I LOVE those 5 little guys peeking around the snowman.

We DO hope you will join in the fun this week.   Don't forget to comment so you can WIN on  the $12 up for grabs in the ADFD shop.  Please stop by and give some love to my teamies this week.  They did an amazing job with this week's sketch.

Looking Good!!

I had some time while the dryer did it's thing so I joined in the challenge over on the From the Heart challenge blog.  Yes, I AM supposed to be vacuuming but shhhh, I don't wanna.

I used Spectacular Birdbrain on my card.  Such a cute image.

SSS407: Rain, Rain, Go AWAY!!

It's trying to rain here.

Just a droplet here and there ... Only enough to spoil any plan to be outside.  ((Sigh))  I've already played 4 games with the kiddos  -- all of which I lost miserably!!  So I've tagged the hubby that it's his turn to provide entertainment to the offspring.   I'm running down to the craft room for a breather before dinner needs to be provided!  (darn kids still want food three times daily!)

I'm joining in the fun over on the Bugaboo blog.  I had this cute little DigiStamp Boutique image already printed so I was also able to play in the Dragonfly Journey's "April Showers" theme.  It's totally appropriate for today's weather.

Sketch Saturday: 406-StarStampz

Good Morning Sketch fanatics.

It's Saturday and that means it's time for another challenge on the Sketch Saturday blog.  We have a fun new sketch and a brand new sponsor.  It's Sarah from StarStampz.  Sarah is providing our winner with 3 images from her Etsty shop.

I'm using My Sweet Sunflower on my card.  Annnnd, I know that you will be stunned to learn that I altered the sketch a bit!!  I DO tend to do that don't I?!! I made my card into a square (But only because it better fit the paper I chose ... the problem with using scraps!)

I'm also joining in the "Good As Gold" theme over on Dragonfly Journeys.  It's hard to believe that her Challenge blog is celebrating it's 50th challenge!

Please check out the rest of the DT's creations and give them some love. I hope you will give the sketch a try!

AIMP: Doodle Pantry Love!

It's the first day of April and that means it's time for the monthly Ants In My Pantry Digital Challenge over on the Doodle PantryBlog.  It's an anything goes challenge, provided you use a digital image.  I decided to use the sketch over at Mojo Monday.  I loved all the rectangular shapes it provided.

For this month's card, I decided to use the Doodle Pantry set: Unfailing Love.  It's such a versatile and beautiful set.  Though when I look at my card, I see that the verse is crooked and the little heart next to the word "things" is hiding a droplet of blood that fell onto my card after I jabbed my thumb with my Exacto blade.  ((Sigh)) Ever had one of those day?!!

Anyway.  As the Wizard of Oz said, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain," er ... the smudges and the tilt on my card!! I sure hope you can join in the fun of the Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge #16 over on the Doodle Pantry Blog.
