SS444: Get The Fire Extinguisher!!

It's Saturday and that means it's time for another challenge on the Sketch Saturday blog.  We have a new sketch for you and the return of Bugaboo as our sponsor.

I'm using a Bugaboo icon: Stella.  I think that I have nearly all of the Stella images in Jodie's shop!  This one is called Stella Birthday - Fireman Call.  Totally hilarious.

I hope that you have time to stop on by the blog, and join in the crafting fun this week!

DP: Orange You Thoughtful

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Ours was great.  One gift that I gave was so perfect for the recipient that I was giggling in anticipation (doesn't it make you happy when you pick the perfect gift?!!)

AND we found out that another baby is going to be born in July!  I am totally excited to be a Great Aunt again.  Unfortunately I will likely miss seeing this little face until Thanksgiving (I'm already planning to go to Utah!!) since she is due in July and our summer visit is locked in for June. (Sigh)

But in other news, I wanted to share the "Thank You" card that I made for the boys to give their grandmother.  I'm using the Doodle Pantry set: Cherry Nice Mice.

I'm also using the sketch over on the Freshly Made Sketch.

DP: Helloooo there!

How fabulous is this paper? I need a birthday card for one of my nieces and THIS paper said it all!

I'm using the Blast From The Past sketch over on the Catch The Bug blog.  It was perfect for this card.

I'm also using one of my favorite Doodle Pantry images.  It's called Beary Cute Color plus.  I love it because it comes in both the line art and the pre-colored.  I'm running short on time, so I used the pre-colored.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

DP: Christmas Cards Continued ...

Youngest son looked in amazement at the pile of Christmas cards on the counter.  "Holy Cow, mom," he said.  "You have GOT to stop making friends.  That's a lotta cards!!"

Yep.  Many cards went out today (insert semi-hysterical laughter here!)  I am DONE!  At the post office, there was a little Christmas miracle too.  There was only ONE person in front of me in line.  I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.  Wow.

This is a card for NEXT year.  I'm using the Doodle Pantry set,  Vintage Stockings.  It's such a pretty set.

SSW2 Challenge Waves Goodbye to 2016

Can you believe that 2016 is nearly over?!! Crazy how fast the last few months speed by!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 is taking a bit of a break for the next couple of weeks.  I don't know about you but I could use some time to finish up last minute details for the holidays.  This will be our last challenge of 2016.

For this challenge we are asking that use your favorite sketch from this year on your card.  I used sketch 103 but rotated it, and made it a rectangle instead of a square.

We have A Day For Daisies as our sponsor.  I'm using Tammy's darling image Penguin In The Sky.  Our winner will get a $12 gift certificate to her store.

We will see you back again on January 17th.

December Gerda Challenge

Every month Gerda Steiner challenges us with an image.  In exchange for making a project, she provides another fun image the following month.  This darling Santa is the image for December.  I just kept him simple and plopped him on some neon green paper to brighten it up.

SS442: Simon Says Stamp

Happy Saturday!

Today Sketch Saturday is inviting you to get crafty with a brand new sketch.  We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp! and you could win a $25 voucher to the store. Yippeee. I don't know if you've ever wandered over, but there are some cool things on their site.

I used one of the many Art Impression stamps and dies that are available over in the Simon Says Stamp! store.  I rotated the sketch to fit my image but we don't care ... as long as the sketch is recognizable, you are good to go!

Why don't you mosey over to the Sketch Saturday site and post your card. We would sure like to see you participate.

Holiday Chaos #7

It's the last day of the Holiday Chaos over on the Catch The Bug site.  I did it.  I finished all seven challenges, and on time too!

Today their challenge was to make a bingo.  I chose the lowest horizontal row: 3 layers, ribbon/bow and non-traditional colors.

The 3 layers was super easy since 90% of my cards are multiple layers anyway.  I'm counting twine as a "ribbon;" it's sort of a ribbon!

Have a good day everyone

Holiday Chaos #6

Just a quick post to fulfill the sixth challenge from the Christmas Chaos over on the Catch the Bug blog.

The challenge is titled: Flashback Holiday and you are to use old images and old paper.  It's almost TOO easy ... I have scraps of old Christmas paper littering my crafting area (good heavens, I'm a bit of a slob!!)  I think I got this image last year for participating in the Chaos.  So I think I'm good.

See you tomorrow for the last day.

D-O-N-E ... boo yah!

Between the Holiday Chaos challenge over on the Catch the Bug blog and the totally cute sketches on the Tuesday challenge sites, I am done!

Yep, I finished my 2016 Christmas card list (insert sigh of relief here!).

My first card satisfies both the Try Stampin on Tuesday sketch as well as the Bugaboo "Humor Me" challenge.  I love Stella so she was my no-brainer choice for a humorous card.  Not to mention, I could probably use a prozac or a drink soon .... can we say, stressed?!!

My second card uses the darling sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog.  I'm using an old image from Sassy Cheryl.  I miss her shop.

SSW2-79 Lacy Sunshine

Happy Wednesday.

It's time for another challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.  We have Heather from Lacy Sunshine as our sponsor.

This week I'm taking a break from making Christmas cards to plump up my birthday stash.  I've got quite a few birthdays this month.  I'm using Heather's image: Tori Tiger on my card.

The winning card will get THREE free digi images from the Lacy Sunshine shop.  Come join in the fun.

Christmas Chaos #4

Day Four of the Holiday Chaos over on the Catch the Bug site.  Today's challenge is: "White As Snow," which means keeping it simple and not using any designer paper.   What?!!  Clean and Simple AND no designer paper?!!  Yikes.  What a challenge for me since I DO love my pretty, pretty papers!

I thought this little critter was the perfect image for my CAS card.  So dang cute!  I like how it turned out so maybe I ought to make more CAS cards.  Nahhh.

Christmas Chaos #3

Back again!

Today's challenge from the Catch the Bug Holiday Chaos Challenge is to make a gift tag with red and white on it.  I had a bit of trouble making my tag (no handy dandy die to rely on!) so I had to wing it.

It's a little crooked but I'm over it.  I made my tag into a card because I don't make my tags (Target does!!)  If I were organized enough to make all my tags, I wouldn't be in the card panic now I am now!!

See you tomorrow.

Christmas Chaos #2

Back again to share the second of my Christmas Chaos cards for the Catch The Bug site.

The challenge is a sketch today.  Too easy, especially with this darling image that I just got a few days ago.  Jodie's birthday special was just TOO good NOT to purchase some new images.

Off to make dinner!

Christmas Chaos #1

It's time for Christmas Chaos over on the Bugaboo blog.  In addition to being one of my very favorite challenges, it's also a GREAT way to finish up all those last minute cards.  Today's challenge is to create a card with sparkle.  I've got glitter, glossy accents and sparkly embellishments.  Done and done!

I'm also joining in the "Christmas Critter" theme going on over on Dragonfly Journeys.  I think that this is a hedgie, but I'm not a 1,000% sure!

December AIMP

Happy December 1st.

Wait ... what?!!  Yikes!

Since it's the first of the month,  it's time for Doodle Pantry's monthly Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over on the Doodle PantryBlog.  As always, it's an anything goes challenge. The only requirement is to use a digital image.

I'm using the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site.  Super cute, and super fast to make.
