Something about driving to Torrington, Wyoming, watching an eclipse and then making a mad dash home to avoid traffic is tiring I guess!! What a trip. Me driving, and the other half using Google, Waze and any other driving app on his phone to direct me and avoid traffic.
At one point he said, "Turn here."
"Here?" I squeaked. "There isn't a road here!"
"Well, according to the GPS, there is one."
I'm pretty sure that what we drove on was probably Farmer Brown's tractor road between his property and his neighbors. But, to give the hubs his due ... it DID get us to the small reservoir that he had designated as our viewing area. Had I not been so stressed about overturning the truck or getting stuck in mud, I would have taken a picture of the 12 turkeys that crossed the "road" right in front of us.

I did the vertical row: Embossing (the little black strip separating my two DP is embossed with a zig-zag), Dots & Stripes and 3 Layers.

I had to go to the doctor this morning. One of the questions she asked was "How much caffeine are you having each day?" Apparently, "umm, a lot" was not the answer she wanted to hear. Time to cut back. This will not be a good time for my family; pray for their survival!
Tuesday Morning Sketches site. I really liked the simplicity of the sketch and their sponsor is one of my very favorites.

Back again for another challenge on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.
We have Sally-Ann returning from DigiStamp Boutique as our sponsor. She will be giving our winner a £10 voucher to her store.

Now that I have more free time, I can once again participate in the progressive image challenges that I love so much.
This one is from Gerda Steiner. The image is called, "I Didn't Eat It (Yet)." If you buy the first image and make a card with it (which I had to do again, since I haven't played in three months) you will get the following month's image ... for free!
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. It's a fun one.

Good Morning, Sketch Saturday fans
Sketch Saturday blog. We have a fun new sketch and the return of Sarah from StarStampz. Sarah is providing our winner with 3 images from her Etsty shop.
I'm using her sweet "Ice Cream and Balloons" as the image for my card.
I'm also joining in the "Keen on Neon" theme over on the Dragonfly Journeys blog.
Please check out the rest of the DT's creations and give them some love. I hope you will give the sketch a try!

I've had NO time for fun these last two month and before I start studying for the next item on my list, I thought that I would squeeze in a few cards.
I bought this paper specifically for this image ... how sad am I? OK, but look ... they both have unicorns on them. How matchy-matchy and perfect is THAT?!! Totally worth it.
I'm joining in the sketch fun over on the Catch The Bug Challenge blog.

Can you believe that it's August already? Yikes. Where did the summer go?!! My sons are already bemoaning the lack of summery days left to enjoy. They go back in just 2 short weeks. I'm actually excited by the date. I will be done with school in 3 short days. Yay.
Today is also the start of a new challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog. This week we are sponsored by Cute As A Button.
Come join the fun.
Saturday, July 29, 2017
It's the fifth Saturday of the month over on the Sketch Saturday blog. That means that we can pick any sketch from 215-473 to use. Fun! I chose to use Sketch 465.
Paper Nest Dolls. They are offering 3 digital images to our winner.
We'd love to see you join in the fun.

I've been so preoccupied with school lately that I haven't made many cards. My stash is seriously low on birthday, anniversary and baby cards. Happily, I have several needs for all of these kinds of cards (I became a Great Aunt again today ... yay!). So I skipped studying today (shhh) and spent the day crafting. Not gonna lie ... it was fantastic!

It's time for another sketch over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog. This fortnight we are sponsored by Smith York Laser Art. They made those cool little wooden shapes on my card this week. Our prize is a bag full of these shapes! Pretty cool prize.
I am viewing Devil's Tower in Wyoming today, and then we are headed home. It should be cool.

It's my anniversary today. Seventeen years. Yay.
No, really, I AM excited about that. It's just that it's summer, we are on vacation, I'm taking two on-line classes, and various emotional events have gotten me to the "I simply CAN NOT" stage. No kidding, I could use a week long vacation from my life right now.
Today is also Saturday so it's time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog. The sponsor is Oddball Art. Come on ... you know that you want to join in the fun!
Wednesday, July 5, 2017
I hope that your Fourth of July (or Canada Day) Celebrations were fantastic. It's Wednesday so it's time for another sketch challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.
Bugaboo as our sponsor ... one of my very favorite sponsors. She is offering our winner 4 free images. And speaking of images, I used the worm from the Under The Sea Birthday Set. Such a little cutie.
Please ignore the fact that I left off the embellishment on the square. I honestly forgot it until JUST now! Just pretend that there is some sort of hook thing there!
Please join in the fun this week!

It's Saturday again (and another new month ... seriously, where is this year going?!!)
As you probably know, Saturday is the day when the new challenge is posted over on the Sketch Saturday blog. This week we have the return of Sasayaki Glitter as our sponsor. The prize to our winner is one free digi image from the shop.
I'm using the image, Baby Elly's Birthday, on my card. Such a cute little image, perfect for any birthday card.
I hope that you will join in the fun this week.

I've had this image for some time now. I finally decided that TODAY was the day to ink him up. I loved him and really all the circus themed stamps in the SugarPea Design release so I grabbed up a few of them.
I had planned to use him for a monthly swap that I'm in but after using the die, I think, perhaps not. It's a bugger to get all the pieces out it. I just don't feel up to running that die through the 24+ times I would need to send it out to the girls!!
Paper Play Sketches site so I joined in. I replaced the grass with my circus background but otherwise stayed true to the sketch.

Welcome back. It's time for another Wednesday challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.
This week we are sponsored by Megan Suarez of Dilly Beans. I'm using her image: Framed Snowman 5. I love all of her snowman images; I kinda have a thing for snowmen.
I hope that you will join in the fun this week.

It's another Saturday and that means that there is a brand new challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog. I don't know about you, but I am SO glad that the weekend is here!
This week we welcome a new sponsor: Crafty Sentiments Design. She is generously offering 3 free digital images to our winner. The images are super sweet; I'm using her darling image: Little Friends.
Be sure and stop by the Sketch Saturday blog and check out all the other DT cards.
So glad that you stopped by.

Today I'm avoiding the piles of laundry that need folding by crafting (I say that like it's a surprise that I'm avoiding the laundry pile!) I still need a few birthday cards so I decided to join in the sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog. I DO like a good sketch.

Stay warm Colorado peeps.

Six days left in the school year and we have snow predicted for tomorrow. Is it terrible that I'm hoping that the district will burn a snow day and give us a day off tomorrow (we've got quite a few that are unused!)?!! I'm still tuckered out from the graduation festivities last weekend. I'm pretty sure that a bit of a sleep-in would take care of that!
And speaking of taking care of things, I banged out the card for the Gerda Steiner Progressive challenge that she has each month. The May challenge was to use this sweet image, Flower's For You. Want to join in the fun? Simply buy this one and make a project. The next month's image will be yours for free.
Tuesday Morning Sketch site. I LOVE when the sketches are simple and totally usable.

I'm finishing up the last of my Mother's Day cards. These are the last two. This first one is headed off to my sister. When I saw this sentiment from Riley, I knew that I had to have it ... who doesn't want a butt-load of wine?!!
Tuesday Morning Sketches.
For my second card, I used the sketch from the Sunday Stamps blog. I dug out my Happy Hopper stamps to use for this card.
Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there.
Happy Wednesday friends.
9 days of school left in this year ... not that I'm counting (OK, I'm totally counting) I'm pretty excited to not make lunches for a few months!
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog. This fortnight we have a new sponsor; it's Cute As A Button.
I hope that you have time to join in the fun this challenge.

Happy Saturday everyone.
I was beginning to doubt that I would make it, honestly. What a long week!! But here we are, ready to enjoy TWO days of sleeping in and doing nothing.
I thought I would share my Saturday creation for Sketch Saturday. This week we have a new sponsor: Paper Nest Dolls. She is offering our winner 3 digital images of their choice. Cool. We hope you have time to join in the fun.

It suddenly occurred to me that other people (you know, other than me) would be celebrating Mother's Day and I thought, "hey" ... maybe I ought to send cards. Yikes. I suddenly need 6 cards to send out. So here is one ... five more to go.
I used the sketch over on the Catch The Bug site. I also used this new Bugaboo image. Super cute!
And then, my hubby's friend at work at a heart attack over the weekend. (insert ANOTHER "yikes" here!) Fortunately he got to the hospital in the nick of time so he will be fine. But suddenly we needed a card for him too. I used the "Interactive" theme over on the Pile It On blog. I love the little "chill pills" in the shaker part of the card. It is soo fun to make shaker cards!
