Gerda Steiner December

I really didn't think that I would find time to do the Gerda Steiner challenge this month.  December is such a BUSY month.  But, here it is the last day of the month and since the hubby and kids are captive to the new TV that Santa brought, I was able to escape to craft.

It's such a cute image and it was definitely nice to work with something other than a Christmas image.

Hey, have a great New 2018!!

SSW2-128 Bugaboo

It's time for another challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.  Since it's the last challenge of 2017, YOU get to choose the sketch.  I'm using a sketch from the first of March.

We have Jodie from Bugaboo Stamps as our sponsor ... one of my very favorite artists.  She is offering our winner 4 free images from her store.  What a great prize!

I'm using the Bugaboo image: Reindeer Christmas Goodies on my card.

Why not join in the fun?!!

Bugaboo Humor Me Wednesday

First of all, I wanted to wish my youngest niece a VERY happy birthday.  She turns 17 today.  Ugh, when did she get so grown-up?!!

And over on the Catch The Bug site, we are celebrating some fun holidays.  You probably didn't know that tomorrow, December 21st, is National Forefather's Day ... but it is.  I made this card to celebrate it.

I'm using the Bugaboo image Stella Birthday Alternative because I think we'd all agree that we'd rather be the weird, old, drool-y Auntie rather than a forefather!

Stella Says Sketch: Be Naughty

I dropped the ball ... here it is Monday and I'm only now posting my card for the SUNDAY Stella Says  Sketch challenge.  Yikes.  I'm blaming the craziness of the Christmas season for my oopie.

It's our last sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog and it's a fun one.

I combined two Bugaboo images to create this card.  I'm using JJ Ornaments and then sentiment for the Stella Christmas image.

I'm pretty excited because I've finished my Christmas cards.  $44 and a trip to the post office later, I can officially say that they are IN THE MAIL!  Woot woot.

I hope that you have time to join in the fun for this last challenge.

SS 494: Fred She Said

It's the last Sketch Saturday challenge before our Christmas break and it IS quite the challenge!  I decided to change the shape from a circle to a square and went with it.

We are sponsored by Fred She Said this week.  They are providing a $10 GC to use on their site.

Since I still have 9 more Christmas cards to finish ("I think I can, I think I can" finish before the holiday!) I made another Christmas card.

Why don't you join in the fun?

Bugaboo BINGO!!

It's time for another round of Bingo over on the Catch The Bug blog.  This month's bingo board is super challenging!

I chose to go with the bottom row: twine, 2 images merged and blue.

I had never merged images before this month, but it wasn't terribly difficult.  The only thing I didn't notice prior to printing was that two snowflakes were layered on top of each other.  It looks a bit messy but oh well, next time ...

I used Three Penguins and added in Candy Cane Penguin to make a 4 penguin family.  I love the way my card turned out.

Come join the fun.

Christmas Chaos: Make it Funny!

It's Day 5 of the Christmas Chaos challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.  It's Humor Me Wednesday, so we want to see your funny projects.  Take a look at the picture below.  It's only to get you started but you don't necessarily need to use on your project!

For my card I used the Bugaboo image: Stella - Santa Called.  I just love Stella and her sassy attitude.

Why don't you join in the fun!

Challenges:
The Male Room: Masculine Christmas
Double D Challenges: Red White and a pop of
   Green

SSW2-127 DigiStamp Boutique

I'm back again to let you know that we have another fantastic challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.

We have Sally-Ann returning from DigiStamp Boutique as our sponsor.  She will be giving our winner a £10 voucher to her store.  I'm using one of her new images: Stocking Milly.  Isn't she just the sweetest?!!

When I created my card, I didn't realize that I made the wrong shape for the center; it shouldn't have been a fishtail but the inverse.  Oh well, it's close enough!  Sigh.  I guess I need to pay closer attention to the sketch before I get my creative groove on.

It's still a darn cute card.  Why don't you try YOUR hand at the sketch this week!

Christmas Chaos: Stella Says Sketch

It's Sunday and time for a new sketch over on the Catch The Bug blog.  The sketch is a good one so I'm certain to use it again.

My project uses the Bugaboo image: Moose Ornaments ... it's also a "good one!" that I use over and over again.

Playing along with ALL the Chaos Challenges will result in many opportunities to win.  Why don't you join in?!!

And SPEAKING of playing along, I'm joining in the challenges over on the Card Mania site: their theme is Christmas
and the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies site: you must use a critter on your card.

Christmas Chaos: Merry & Bright

Today's challenge over on the Catch The Bug: make something using the theme - Merry and Bright.  My card using one of the new Bugaboo releases: 3 Snowmen.

They sure look like they are having a merry old time.  For the bright, I added the sentiment and some sparkle to the snowflakes.

Come on ... join in the fun and win prizes!!

SS 492: Sasayaki Glitter

It's Saturday and time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.

This week we are sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter.  Our winner will receive 1 digital images from her shop.  I'm using her image: Candy Cane Penguin on my card.

I hope you have time to join in the fun this week.

Christmas Chaos: FF

Yay!!

It's December first and almost time for the start of the Christmas Chaos over on the Catch The Bug blog.  This is your chance to catch up (or if you are more organized than I am), finish up your Christmas card stash.  But since today IS also Friday, it's time for a freebie!  You can get yours here.  Get ready to join the fun!

I'm also joining in the fun over on the As You Like It Challenge.  They want to know what your favorite animal is and why.  I DO like reindeer (and was lucky enough to see one IRL while in Alaska with the family).  I guess I like all fur covered animals (I say that specifically because THAT is the rule at our house, the boys can have any pet as long as it has fur -- no spiders, reptiles or birds)  I like reindeer because they signal the start of the Christmas season ... on of my favorite times of the year.

I'm also joining in the Aud Sentiments Challenge blog.  They want to see a card that has Christmas AND a sentiment.  Done and done!

Gerda Steiner November Challenge

Squeaking this one in ... I have ONE day left in the month of November and I finally finished my card (did ya' catch my funny pun?  It's a mouse and I am squeaking it in? Ha!!  I kill myself!)

It was a busy month but I wanted to be sure to use this darling image from Gerda Steiner.  Since I used this image, I will get next month's image for FREE!  It's a great way to collect Gerda's sweet images.  There is STILL 24 hours left in the month to join in the fun.

I'm using the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.   It was the perfect sketch to showcase this little mouse.

Tutorial: Altered Tin

It's the last Wednesday of the month so it's time for another tutorial.  This month I'm altering a tin and filling it with fudge to give to my neighbor.

I had SO many people help me make this year's Junior Diabetes Research Foundation "One Walk" fantastic and I'm trying to make something for each of them.

My first step to altering my tin was to gather up all my supplies. I knew that I needed a container of some kind, some ribbon, an image and coordinating holiday papers

But ... I wasn't really certain what materials would work so I gathered a bunch of things in anticipation.  Thankfully, my kids took one for the team and ate one of their favorite cookies so I could have this tin.

Step Two: Ugh, can you believe it ... the tin was 2 inches too big for standard 12 x 12 papers so I had piece the papers to cover the entire tin.  I was seriously bummed out but, on the bright side,  I doubt my neighbor will notice or care.  He will be more interested in the fudge.

Step Three was to decorate the top using my Spellbinders dies.
I decided to use the Bugaboo image: Christmas Hedgie.  I colored him and cut it out, also using my dies.

Finally, I popped him on my tin, added some ribbon and called it done.  It was a fairly easy project.  My only recommendation is to use REALLY strong tape.  I ended up using this tape, but any permanent tape will work.

I think that my neighbor will really like the fudge.

SSW2-Craftwork Card Stamps

Happy Day Before Thanksgiving!!

I have to tell you guys that I made this card THREE times this week.  The first time,  I had a senior moment and got my dates confused.  So I quietly posted it on Saturday the 18th (I had forgotten that Wednesday was when I needed it to post, not Saturday) Sooo, I made another.  It's below ... for some reason, I just hated it; the green and pink wasn't working for me.  Aaaaaand I made a third one (see above).  The good news is, I got three Christmas cards done trying to complete ONE DT project.  Seriously, getting old (and forgetful) really stinks!

Any who ... it's time for another challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Challenge blog.  This week we are sponsored by our fearless leader, Anne.  She has a stamp set to give to our winner.

I'm featuring an oldie but goodie from the Bugaboo Stamp store called Kidz: Christmas Boy And His Dog.

Why don't you join in the fun?

Stella Says "Happy New Baby!"

It's Sunday and time for a new sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.

This fortnight I'm using the darling Bugaboo image: Bentley - On The Inside.  It's hilarious and the perfect image for a new baby.  Yep, baby Raylee arrived a tad early so I SUDDENLY needed a "welcome baby" card ASAP.  This image was so quick to color that it really fit the bill.

We hope you join in the fun!

It's Saturday and time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.

Catch The Bug Reindeer

Yay!  Saturday!!

We've got a brand new challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.  It's time for the November Bingo Challenge.

I used the top row: a sentiment, a Bugaboo image and a charm.

I also used the darling Bugaboo image: Reindeer Blocks...such a sweet image.

SSW2-125 A Day For Daisies

Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday, a friend pointed out to me that our kids have only 4 weeks left in this semester.  Ack!!  Really?!!  And that means that Christmas is only 5 weeks away.  How can that be?!!  (taking a deep, cleansing breath)  I can do this.

It's Wednesday and the Christmas rush is ON!!

We have another sketch challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.   We have Tammy from the A Day For Daisies shop as our sponsor.  She is giving our winner a $12 Gift Certificate to her shop.

Why don't you join in the fun?

3-D Card

I think that it's just plain mean to have snow so soon after Daylight Savings kicked in.  Here we are, trying to adjust to how soon the sun goes down and then add in the super-cold temperatures too?!!  I'm so cold that I'm considering setting my feet on fire!

So how better to deal with the freezy-squeezy weather ... why, make a winter card of course!  The Art Impressions blog challenged us to make a 3-D card and of course I wanted to use my new AI set: Santa Paws.  I decided on a slider; I made my little dachshund running toward his buddies, who are no doubt Christmas caroling.

I love slider cards.  I could play with them all day!

SSS518: 2 Snowman

It's time for another sketch on the Catch The Bug blog.  This fortnight, I'm using the image: 2 Snowman.  It's another darling image from the Bugaboo digital image store.  This cutie is only $1.50 ... so cute and soo inexpensive!

There is another great sketch this time.  Super flexible; I will definitely use this one again.

Remember, you can enter  the challenge up to 3 times.  If you use a Bugaboo Image, you could WIN 10, 7 or 4 Bugaboo Images of your choice.

Do you NEED a Bugaboo Stamp to use?  Head on over to the store,  click on the Friday Freebie tab and you can get this week's freebie.

SS and Bugaboo Challenges

I'm killing two birds with one stone (OK, it's a card but you get the idea).  There is a brand new challenge over on the Sketch Saturday Challenge blog AS WELL AS a new challenge on the Catch The Bug Challenge blog.  So I'm using the sketch and an image from Bugaboo to complete both challenges.  I'm using one of my favorite images: Gus - Old Fart.  He's such a hoot.

The sponsor from the Sketch Saturday blog is Lemon Shortbread.  She is giving our winner 3 free digi-images.

Over on the Catch The Bug site, our theme this week is Anything Goes.  You may use any image on your project to win the Seven or Four-image prizes, but if you have Bugaboo images, we would LOVE to see them!  If you don't HAVE a Bugaboo image, there is a freebie available each Friday.  You can get yours here.

I'm also joining the Coloring Challenge over on the Color Inspiration Monthly Link-Up.  You want to see amazing coloring, this is the site.
