Sketch Saturday 460: Pamper Yourself

Happy Saturday!!

It's time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  This week we are sponsored by Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique. She is offering our winner a £10 voucher to her store.

I rotated the sketch to fit the image I choose to use: Alyssa Relaxing.  I'm hoping to take my own advice and pamper myself this weekend.  Wine and a movie sounds FANTASTIC (tho maybe not in that order!)

I hope you have time to join in the fun this week.

Hip To Be Square

I found time to join in the sketch challenge over on the From The Heart blog this week.  Since Faith is still feeling under the weather, they are recycling an old sketch.  It's fine with me because it was a fun sketch (and honestly, I don't think I used it originally).

I'm using the "Birdbrain Needs Coffee" image.  One of my very favorite images in the From The Heart store and seriously, this could be a selfie of me on ANY given morning.

I'm also joining the fun over on the Dragonfly Journeys blog.  Her theme is Hip To Be Square ... I have a square card (and plus I'm a bit of a sci-fi nerd so that's square too)

"Hi" with Sunday Stamps

Getting my Gerda Steiner monthly challenge image done.  It's this darling little bear; his name is Pen Pal Bear.  I loved his little pencil and it seemed like a good opportunity to whip out some of my school papers to use.  By using this little bear, I will get next month's image for free.

I'm also using the sketch over on the Sunday Stamps blog.

SSW2-110: Little Blue Button

Hello Wednesday friends.

It's time for another challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.

We have a new sponsor for our challenge.  It's Little Blue Button.  Our winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to her store.   This week I'm using Miss Lily and the Snowman on my card.  It's never too early to start on my 2017 Christmas card stash!

Here is a bit more about Little Blue Button:

Little Blue Button Stamps started it's life in december 2012 as free digital stamps company "Digital designs by Olga".
Later in spring 2013 it was reborn as Little Blue Button Stamps and first Design Team started it's work.  In the summer of 2013 we started to produce rubber stamps which were pressed and packed by C.C.Designs company. In Fall 2014 we started to release clear stamps but due to some problems in my life I had to shut down both clear and rubber and continue with digital stamps only.  Now I continue to create designs for digital stamps and printables by LBBS and clear stamps for Russian store by Tamara Startseva.

I hope you have time to join in the fun

SS458 Drawn With Character

It's Saturday and that means it's time for a challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  This week we have Krista from Drawn With Character as our sponsor.  Our winner will receive 3 digital images from her etsy shop.

I rotated the sketch to better fit my image.  I'm using "Bunny Holding Easter Egg" to make my card.

I hope that you have time to join in the fun.

TMS 397: Swagger

I'm pretty sure that I broke my friend.

I JUST bought this stamp set and the same day that it arrived, she slipped on some ice and broke her ankle.  Coincidence?  I think not.

Actually I bought this AI set because another friend's husband broke HIS leg on some ice too.  At the time, I wondered if I should also buy the woman set but I didn't.  I'm a little sad now because it would have been PERFECT!!  Oh well, next time I shop.

I'm using the sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site.  I loved it's simplicity; so easy to use again and again.

I'm also submitting this card to the Art Impression blog for their "Wish You Felt Better" challenge.  Perfect timing huh?!!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch 206

It's a snow day here.  Since we had the day off, I decided to make the youngest child finish his project for Language and Literature.  He had decided to make a game based on the book, Life As We Knew It and ... it wasn't nearly done.  Now granted, it isn't due for a week, but why put it off (especially since I had told him that if he wasn't done by Sunday, he shouldn't plan on going to his brother's birthday party)  Ouch, guess who is having to parent today?!!  Unfortunately he is notorious for doing things last minute and slap-dash

Thankfully, it is mostly done now (around 3:00 I was done with all the whining so I sent him on his way.)  In the blissful silence I made this card.  It's not a terribly happy card either (kinda fits the grey theme of the day) but I needed one for my neighbor.

I used the sketch over on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog.  It totally fit my image from Bugaboo

I'm off to bake now.

SSW2-109 Bugaboo

Hello Wednesday Peeps!

It's time for another challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.

March is nearly over and in the spirit of the March Madness NCAA basketball games, I decided to use this image from Bugaboo.  Yep, we have Jodie as our sponsor this week (yay).   This is Gus-Basketball.  How cute is he?

Jodie is offering up 4 free images to our winner.

I hope you find time to join in the fun.

SS-456 Just Me

Yay ... It's Saturday (my favorite day!)

And that means that it's time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  This week we have a new sponsor: Just Me. Our winner will receive 2 dici-images from her etsy store.

This week I'm using her image: Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I hope you have time to join in the fun this week.

I'm joining in the "doily" theme over on Dragonfly Journeys this week.

FTH 167: Wish Big

One last card before I head off to Arizona.

I'm using this week's From The Heart sketch.  The image is Birthday Burger Birdbrain -- it really IS super cute!

The sketch is an easy one.  I love simple sketches; I had to play along.

Missed It, For Fox Sake

I spent some time yesterday with my new images.  I got this little darling and 3 others which I immediately printed and cut it out with my Silhouette (Thanks for the help, Michelle!  You rock).  I love that I finally have that skill at my fingertips.

I used the sketch from the Paper Craft Crew to create this belated birthday card.

I'm also entering the Craft for the Craic challenge of "green and glittery".

And joining in the Cute Card Thursday celebration theme.

TMS 394 Lucky You

I'm just finishing up my monthly obligations so I'm free to head off to Arizona.  This is my card using the monthly free From The Heart image.  It's called Lucky Lil' Birdie.  If you purchase and use this image within the month of March, you will get April's image for free.  Who doesn't love free stuff?

I'm using the sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog.  I needed a sketch to give my mojo a jump-start this morning.  Too many things going on in my brain to allow for much creativity.

I'm also participating in Jeannie's "Lucky Charm" theme over on Dragonfly Journeys.

SSW2-108

This is still one of my favorite From the Heart images.  I just love that little sad face.  It's Wednesday and besides being half-way towards the weekend, it's also time for another challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.

This week, Anne is sponsoring the challenge, offering up a polymer stamp set.

We hope that you will join in the challenge this fortnight.

Sunday Stamps 148

The race to complete all the Easter cards has begun!  Get ready to see a BUNCH of bunny cards from me in the coming days!

I'm using the sketch over on the Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge site.  I loved the little banner.

I'm also entering this card in the Catch The Bug March Challenge of Birds, Bees and Butterflies.   Hey, my card has a bird ... a tiny, tiny bird, but he totally counts!

Baby, It's Icky Outside

So rather than go on a walk with the hubby, I'm hiding down in the basement ... shhhh, maybe he won't find me!

I wanted to make a shaker card to join in the sketch over on the From The Heart blog.  Ironically, her twist is "Almost Spring."  Since it doesn't feel like Spring here, I made more of a "Seriously ... it IS almost Spring, why is it snowing?" card.

I'm using Faith's "Laughing Snowman" image.

I decided to use the colors in the Watercolor Wednesday challenge.  They were too pretty NOT to use.  I think my blues don't QUITE match, but, this was the only Christmas DP that I could find that was remotely close.

Hope your day is warm.

SS454: Sami Stamps

Good Morning Peeps.

It's Saturday and that means it's time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  We have a fun new sketch and the return of a favorite sponsor: it's Samantha from Sami Stamps.  Our prize this week is a voucher for $12 to use in the Sami Stamps Etsy shop.

I'm making more Christmas cards -- trying to beat the rush.  This card is made with an image called Chilly Bunny.  This is our last challenge with Sami Stamps as our sponsor.  She is taking a break from sponsoring challenges to spend more time with her family.  We will surely miss using her sweet images.

I hope you have time to give the sketch a try!

Bee Strong, Little Grasshopper

Oh my gosh, I had such a great time with this month's challenge from Gerda Steiner.  This image is soo stinking cute and was EXACTLY the card I needed to send my buddy who is still fighting cancer.

I'm using the sketch from the Catch The Bug Challenge this week.  I DID add an extra stripe ... it just looked better with five stripes rather than four.

FTH #164

I had a near miss today while cooking.  I was trying to chop onions while consulting a new recipe.  I cut the tip of my fingernail off.  Yikes.  THAT could have been bad had I chopped just a tad closer!  Thankfully, the Irish Stew was finished and an emergency room visit was NOT required.

Here is my card for the sketch challenge over on the From the Heart blog.  I thought that this image would make a perfect "manly" birthday card.  I'm using the FTH image "Birdbrain Brew."  I rotated the sketch and then switched the embellishments because I didn't want to cover up those darling pretzels on the image.

SSW2-107: March?!!

Yikes, it is March 1st.

This is the busiest month for me.  There are lots of birthdays and parties to plan (I will have a 14 year old this month, double yikes!!), and of course, Spring Break.  This year we will be driving back to Arizona to see friends in Phoenix and family in Tucson, visit the Meteor Crater, go to the lava tube in Flagstaff and maybe visit Sedona.  Phew, that's a lot to cram into one week off!

But I'm getting ahead of myself, it's only March 1st.  It's a Wednesday so it's time for another challenge on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.  This challenge, we have Sami Stamps for our sponsor.  I'm using her sweet "Frost and Whiskers Friends" image.  How sweet is that cat?!!

Our winner will get a $12 Gift Certificate to the Sami Stamps shop.

We hope that you will join in the fun this fortnight.

CAS cards

Clean and Simple cards ... are not my forte.  I kinda stink at them actually.  Sooo anytime that I can practice, I do.

This first card is from Freshly Made Sketches.  I'm still using my From The Heart pre-printed images.  This first one is A Little Something .

My second card uses the sketch from the Less is More blog.  I think I used to many layers for this one to be considered CAS but ... I tried!

My image is Nerd Girl Potion with a sentiment from There She Goes

Off to go make Guacamole for our Oscar Celebration party

SS452 Bugaboo

Happy Saturday!!

It's time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo, one of my very favorite digital stores.  I love her snarky humor.  This week our winner will receive 4 digi-images.

I'm using Jodie's fabulous set Friends Don't Let Friend's Wine 2 for my card.

I hope you have time to join in the fun this week.
